A CAT’S DREAM

A cat’s dream,

is such a scream!

Luxurious cuisine,

riding in a limousine,

Pounces so daring,

competitions of staring,

duals with fiends,

cat Kings and Queens.

When a cat dreams,

we go to extremes.

While we nap on the sofa,

we’re fighting a cobra,

lounging on a chair,

we’re up against a bear.

Yes, the dreams of a cat,

really are so damn phat!Β

So never underestimate,

your feline house mate!

  1. Well done!! The dreams of a cat MUST be interesting – all that “running in place” and all those squeals and squeaks…..I always get a kick out of Sammy when he’s deeply asleep and twitching away in dreamworld. Enjoy a day of dreams Morris!!

  2. Wow, what a great poem!! You’re truly talented, Morris!! A gentlecat AND a poet – what a powerful combination! Hey, why don’t you write Gypsy a love poem!? We’re sure she’d be very impressed and flattered!!! πŸ˜€

    Sweet dreams, dear friend!

  3. Morris, you’ve stolen my heart. You look and act like my Doodles. And my gosh, you are now a poet? What books is your human reading to help you out? Has your human read “Sorry I Barfed on Your Bed” by Jeremy Greenberg? Morris, you must have your human get this book and read out loud to you! It is hysterical!

    • Well Mom Bonzo, let me tell you it is I who reads the poetry books in this house! My humans have not got that book, perhaps I shall have to hack into their Amazon account and order a copy!

      Chin rubs and purrs, Morris.

      • hehehehehehe It’s a great book. So good in fact, it won’t be in stock. So, you must wait in order to get it. Now, Morris, this is a prime example how you can practice PATIENCE. πŸ™‚
