A GIFT FOR ME

This caturday I am the luckiest cat in England! I have been given a gift from my human pals, they’ve only gone and got me my own personal drinking fountain! Not only that but I also got a wonderful new box that the fountain came in.

MY PURRFECT CHRISTMAS

Well can you believe it! Christmas has been and gone already! I hope that everyone had a purrfect day because I sure did!

I waited up on Christmas Eve night as I wanted to be awake for Santa Paws so that I could keep and eye on him and make sure that he really is a nice man and not a burglar! But guess what…I fell asleep and missed him! I have now decided that Santa Paws is nice as he left me lots of presents and didn’t cause any trouble, he didn’t even leave a nasty smell.

My presents included lots of bouncy balls, a dangley toy on a stick, 4 little toy fish, a lovely eco friendly food bowl and a hair brush which I might accidentally on purpose have to break or lose as I HATE being brushed! Maybe I was a little bit naughty and that’s why Santa Paws gave me that!

I got some photos of me with my presents 🙂

After I opened and played with my presents I was given a treat and a tin of my favourite food. Christmas day where I live was a lovely bright clear day so after breakfast I went outside for a while to watch the birds, after which I visited my neighbours who gave me lots more lovely food!

What a beautiful day to take in some fresh air!

In the evening my human companions returned to my house as they had gone out at midday. They put me in my carry case by tricking me with a treat! I know what you’re thinking, why did I fall for it, but food is my weakness, I just can’t resist a treat! I thought that I was going to the horrible place that I don’t even like to mention that begins with the letter ‘V’ but to my relief I was taken in the car down the road to visit my catsitters, Auntie and Granny! There were loads of people there and one human who is my uncle said that it was like having a celebrity guest visiting! All of the humans loved me and I did my best to look very suave and sophisticated. Grandad teased me and played with me and I accidentally scratched him, I felt a tiny bit guilty but then he knew the risks when he decided to tease me so I wasn’t going to dwell on it! I was given even more presents – a sparkly dangley mouse toy and an eco food bowl and I was also given some more delicious food to eat!

After a purrfect Christmas day I was glad to get back and rest at home with that warm feeling inside that one often has after a day of luxurious fine foods, purrfect presents and tremendous company!

REMEMBERING BOBBY

Christmas time often makes us think of those who we love but who are not here with us any more. I would like to share with all my readers my thoughts about someone special to me who sadly passed away last year on June 3rd 2012. That someone special is my brother from another mother, Bobby the rat.

Bobby the rat was rescued by the RSPCA in 2010 as he was being kept my someone who was going to feed him alive to snakes! I can not imagine how terrifying it must have been for him to smell the snakes near by and he was also supposedly kept in a small tank with other rats and who knows how he was treated by the humans but I am guessing they weren’t very nice. When my human girl went to see him at the RSPCA he was very shy and nervous. Bobby had also had a big fight with his brother Billy and had many cuts and scratches so he had to be treated for those before he was allowed to go home with my human girl but finally after waiting a few weeks she could take him home to his new castle and forever home!

Bobby was such a lucky rat as he was given lots of tasty vegan food, he was taken out for walks and got to play on the beach and he had a lot of room to run around. My cat tunnels were originally Bobby’s and he would love to hide in them. It wasn’t until a year later in June 2011 that I moved in. When I first set eyes on Bobby my cat instincts took over and I wanted to grab him and play with him. My humans wouldn’t let me in the same room as him unless I could be unsupervised and I was locked out when he was let out of his huge cage. Once I got used to him and realised that he could bite back and was part of my family I stated to love him like a brother. I would sit next to his cage to be close to him and I would watch him, he gave me some very good lounging tips! I was also allowed to say hello to him when he was out of his cage when my girl human held him. I think that if he had lived longer eventually we could have hung out together and I would even have allowed him to sleep on my back, I wish that I had had that chance to be that close to him.

It was very sad when he died of cancer last year. I watched my girl human feed him with a syringe and nurse him but in the end he had to go to rat heaven 😦 Bobby had a wonderful life with my humans and I will never forget him. He was a very special rat!

Here are some pictures of him so you can see how lovely he was.

10 Interesting Things About Me!

Today I was awarded the Sunshine Award by my friend Migotka who writes the blog http://meltwaterblog.wordpress.com

Thank you so much Migotka! High paw fives to you!

One of the rules for accepting the award is that I have to tell everyone 10 interesting things about me! Yippee, how fun! So here they are, I hope you enjoy reading them!

1. My human companions named me after the singer Morris Day from the music group ‘Morris Day and the Time’. They thought I looked like a very cool character just like Morris Day. Of course my cat name can not be spelled in English, and the cat language has no written form, so that will have to remain secret between me and my cat friends. Here is a picture of Morris Day and a link to a you tube video of him in his music video ‘Jungle Love’. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2FPQvwhSDY

2. My favourite type of music is funk music as it drives me wild and gets me moving like the coolest cat in town!

3. I love to be stroked under my chin.

4. I hate to be interrupted when I am cleaning myself, it takes a lot of concentration and hard work!

5. I have white whiskers above one eye and dark whiskers above the other.

6. I like to hide under the bath, behind the bath panel when I have had a shock or feel anxious, it is my secret alone place. I think everyone should have a secret alone place!

7. Once I walked to the beach with my female human companion, but more about that another time.

8. I used to have a brother called Bobby who was a rat but he died in 2012.

9. I like to lie on my female human when she goes to bed as she makes a comfy pillow and gives me lots of cuddles and massage.

10. Sometimes I drink my human’s bath water when they are not looking!

Bye for now and hope you are all having a purrfect day!

Curiosity does NOT kill cats!

Hello my friends and any new readers out there that I may not have met! I hope that you are all having a wonderful day!

I thought that  it would be nice for my readers to get to know me better and for me in turn to get to know some of you better. I admit, I am a curious cat! But I can tell you that curiosity has never done me any harm, curiosity in fact does NOT kill the cat!

By now you’re probably wondering many things about this mysterious, handsome, intelligent and sophisticated cat you see before you so I now invite you to ask me any question that you like and I shall answer it with 100% honesty! Just post it in the comments section of this blog and I shall reply with my answer.

In turn I will ask a question back to anyone who asks me a question, thus satisfying my great curiosity, meow!

So I guess you could say this is a win/win situation! 🙂
